It is a history of Eagle Company of the Third Armor Division nicknamed “Spearhead” because 3rd Armor and their death traps (also known as Sherman tanks) were the tip of the spear as the Allies raced across Western Europe to put an end to Nazi tyranny. ![]() For me, this is a WWII, European theater version of “With the Old Breed.” During the day, I couldn’t wait for night time so I could get back to the book. ![]() I was entertained from the first chapter to the last and there wasn’t a moment of downtime. This is a fast paced memoir filled with non-stop action.
